Bagan is a sacred destination highlighting Buddhism merit making, art and architecture. This extraordinary place became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. XplorMor International was highly honored to photograph the monuments of Bagan; however, we arrived in 2016 a week after the earthquake which left a great destructive mark across the landscape. Thankfully there is continued preservation.
